WHAT ABOUT SMALL TALK?

3/18/13 Had a thought I want to share with all of you who don’t like “small talk” and “direct one on one marketing”.  Instead of Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.  Let’s try Be unto others as you would have them be unto you.
What this means is if you want someone to be interested in what you do, then be interested in what they do, who they are, and what they need.  THIS IS THE BASIS OF ALL GOOD NETWORKING AND PERSONAL INTERACTION.

If you need magic words to open the conversation they can be ” Any interesting things happen to you this week?’  or ” What brings you here?” or ” What is your area of practice?”.  BE SINCERE.

Be exactly the kind of person that you want in your life.  People who are open to support and acknowledge you and help in any way that they can.
